While we don’t think there’s an upshot to the collapse of once-beloved publishers, we are grateful that there are many other routes to creating great comics! We’re seeing a lot of folks move to Crowdfundr, including a new project called Backstory from POME Pal Jen Vaughn, along with Ryan K Lindsay and Teo Acosta. We’re getting big Bling Ring vibes (in a good way!!!) from this comic about a group of teens who steal a superpower-granting ring.
At last, someone finally said it: we need the AIM away message back!! It’s not just nostalgia: it’s a form of communication that both helps set strong boundaries AND shows off your emo lyrics esoterica.
In our increasingly cursed and confounding times, it’s something of a comfort to know that we still can feel a connection to our ancient human ancestors through time-honored traditions, such as (literal) shitposting.
