Afternoon Snack

Good morning POMEs! As we edge closer and closer to fall, we’d like to take this moment (as we do every week) to waste away our lives looking at things on the internet. Because there are dogs and also Beyoncé and also lesbian farmers! Onwards!

Bless this doggo and bless the town that elected him mayor for the third time.

Rush Limbaugh is claiming that the “Obama regime” is encouraging lesbians to become farmers and invade traditionally conservative states. For once, we wish that Limbaugh was right about something because that would be awesome! Where do we sign up?

Jamilah Lemieux has been hired as the new Vice President of News and Men’s Programming for Interactive One! Women of color in charge of men’s things! The world we want to live in!

The beautiful dress that Young Thug is wearing on the cover of his newest album, No, My Name Is Jeffrey, has apparently sparked some controversy on the internet but we think he looks happy and beautiful and we love it!! The rapper has previously expressed his own opinions about gender (or how there’s no such thing), and he seems to be embracing this aspect of himself in his killer cover.

Apparently the cover has generated some comparisons to Naruto, Disney princesses, and Mortal Kombat, all of which is awesome.

In Kugluktuk, Nunavut, Canada, a 5-day event brought Kitikmeot women together to revive traditional Inuit tattoos, celebrating their culture and empowering themselves as Inuit women.

We don’t have much to add to this other than that we are not surprised.

This promoted tweet we saw is both terrifying and captivating, it’s like the HAL of cat litter boxes.

That’s it for this week, POMEs. What did you see on the internet last week that we missed?
