- Every brave and valiant warrior Standing Up To The (wo)Man by ensuring that each living soul upon this earth sees that tacky old Milo Manara Spider-Woman cover, years past its expiration date as a semi-culturally-relevant meme
- Marvel Editorial turning a Nazi-punching hero created by a Jewish-American WW2 vet into a Secret Nazi & their subsequent shock and horror that fans found any part of this clever social commentary offensive or uncalled for. Who knew!
- Whenever Marvel Civil War 3: Ayn Rand vs. the Aliens permanently railroads a beloved series
- That a company devoted to throwing their entire budget & influence into a single genre seems even remotely confused about why a wider audience of humans who read things aren’t bigger fans
- Throwing Miles Morales under the bus — but only after stripping the best elements from his stories and shoehorning them into a Peter Parker title
- The company’s 78 year tradition of shitting on their artists & breaking their hearts, etc
- Season 2 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
- Marvel’s pre-2013 attempts at Comics! But for girls!!
Hiring a dude who says shit like this as the showrunner for Iron Fist* You know what? So many things about Iron Fist, and especially its recent Netflix series (aka “They’re Called Monks, My Dude: The TV Show)
Yeah, someone made me vaguely aware of that. I try not to think about it too much. I have so little patience for some of the feelings that some people have. I mean, I understand where it’s coming from. You know, cultural appropriation, my god. It’s just an adventure story. Don’t these people have something better to do than to worry about the fact that Iron Fist isn’t Oriental, or whatever word? I know Oriental isn’t the right word now, either.

- Creating a bunch of diverse heroes and assigning the same middle-aged white dude writer to their books
- Marvel’s insistence that despite all evidence to the contrary, collecting stacks of unsortable, grimy singles is a better benchmark of a comic’s success than sturdier, weightier trade paperbacks (bc filthy casuals, etc)
- The way the comics industry as a whole tends to support creators who sexually harass or assault their colleagues, blacklisting the victim rather than the perpetrator
