Here’s a visual treat: the friends of Pome at The Beacon Cinema in Seattle are launching a new anime series, and it is, frankly, mouth-watering. Like, can we eat this trailer??
Only 90’s Kids Will Understand How Old We Felt when Adobe announced that it is cancelling Flash. 🙁
Indie comics pals may be very interested in this informative Twitter thread by Kickstarter’s comics outreach lead on what to do and what NOT to do when launching your crowdfunding campaign.
A thread on some @Kickstarter best practices for comics creators:
— Candor Cam FTP BLM (@illathekilla) August 29, 2019
1) Your project subtitle should essentially be your logline. Tell backers who have no idea who you are what your book is actually ABOUT
2) Our editorial team is NOT a fan of text or logos on your main project image
Speaking of Kickstarters, here are a couple you should throw your money at:
- Weekend Warrior Comics, an inclusive superhero comics magazine that looks just 100% pure charm, and is well on its way to a very modest $2000 goal!
- Don’t Go Without Me by Rosemary Valero-O’Connell, a short comics collection published by ShortBox. Need we even say more!!!
We hope that your Labor Day had 0 labors in it, and that you have a beautiful first week of September.
