Afternoon Snack

We hope you all had a fantastic Beltane and a radical May Day this weekend! This week’s Afternoon Snack is carrying the celebratory energy forward into the rest of the week!

Setting a massive POME record, our Kickstarter for Comrade Himbo funded in just 3 days!?!! Thank you to everyone who backed or spread the word: we can’t wait to announce our stretch goals!!

Perhaps the only thing that could match our excitement and energy level for Comrade Himbo is our eternal excitement and energy level for the original femmebo… Sailor Moon!!! Get ready for the most shojo Cancer season of all time!!

Congratulations to Prancer, the haunted Victorian child in a dog’s body, who was adopted by the perfect caregiver who understands his needs and accepts him for who he is!! May we all, in the spirit of Prancer, accept nothing less than 100% of what we deserve.

We are enjoying a fruitful, nostalgic moment of meme history, with a history of the “meat is back on the menu” meme from Lord of the Rings, as well as a history of the Dawson’s Creek crying gif! We think it is safe to say that internet culture is alive and well and thriving.

Speaking of internet culture, we were enjoying the Youngs’ read of tacky millennial aesthetics with this investigation of “cheugy,” until they came for our Herbal Essences!!! *insert Dawson crying gif*

“Emoji merch” is considered cheugy, according to the above, but what about this very POME sparkle emoji ring by Studio Cult????? We would wear it regardless of its cheugy-ness, but we are too broke anyway. 🙁

Sending you off with nothing but the highest quality vibes, please enjoy this delightful newest animation from Worthikids, and don’t let the TikTok-ers get you down!
