Final girls — we love them, we look up to them, we are in awe of their power. Heck, my first piece at POME was all about them! They’re a lasting part of horror films for a reason! Who can forget Suzy Bannion, smiling victoriously in the rain at the end of Suspiria (1978), or Sally Hardesty, covered in blood and riding away from Leatherface, giddy with escape at the end of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1975)? We all have a favorite Final Girl, and our respective faves have something to say about ourselves. Pick your favorite from the list below, and we’ll give you some brief personal insight.
